He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Garnet Young; his grandparents, George Grover, Edith Dowler Young, Francis, Isabelle and Alice Young; his girlfriend Pat Young; his children, Mike Young (Becky) of Athens, Brenda Brown (Mike Smith) of Athens, Pam Young of Athens and Missy Young (Dave) of Athens; his grandchildren, Ray Brown, Jessica Taylor and Joey Withem; his siblings, Leroy Smith (Irene) of Nelsonville, Pam Kempton of Nelsonville, Charles Smith (Pam) of Nelsonville, Debra Saunders (Dennis) of Nelsonville and Dorothy Bullock (John) of Nelsonville; his wife Shirley Young (McKibben); his mother Garnet Smith (Max); his grandfather Grover Young (Edith); and his siblings, George Young, Francis Young, Isabelle Brewer, Alice Walker, Betty Newlun, Rita Kasler, Alice Smith and Little Max Smith. He was also cherished by 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
