She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hess and Clare Hess. She is survived by: her children, Alverna Hess, Woodser Rouse (Kimberly Castor), Elson Rouse (Angela) and Arly Rouse; her siblings, Mark Hess (Anne Filbert) and Patricia Hunt (James); her stepmother Marjorie Hess; and her granddaughter Amelia. She is also survived by many loving extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, those who wish may make donations in San's name to either Mount Carmel Hospice in Columbus, Ohio or FairHope Hospice in Lancaster, Ohio.
