With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Josephine L. Gay of Austintown, Ohio, born in Youngstown, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas A. Leach and Thelma Waller Leach; her son Michael E. Gay; her grandson Stanley David; and her siblings, Phoebe Reese, Thomas A. Leach Jr., George Leach, Priscilla Kidd, Annie Grace and Charles F. Leach Sr..

She is survived by : her children, William Gay (Becky) of Indianapolis, Traci Hemphill (McNeal) of Liberty Township, John Gay of Youngstown, Billie Boob (Chris) of Liberty Township, Paul Gay (Tammy) of Austintown and Pat Gay (Kelley) of Youngstown; and her brother William Leach of Wellsville. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and many extended family.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kinnick Funeral Home (477 N Meridian Rd, Youngstown, OH 44509). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
