He was predeceased by: his son Thomas; and his sister Marjorie Best (late Jim). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Klingshirn; his children, Ann Johnson (Bob), James Klingshirn (Laura), Neil Klingshirn (Nancy) and Lee Klingshirn (Nancy); his grandchildren, Kelly, Abby, Justin, Karl, Kevin, Lauren, Theresa, Frank and Josephine; and his siblings, Eugene Klingshirn (late Frances) and Marian Quinn (late Bob).
