He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Spangler and Madeline Spangler; his mother-in-law Hazel Mettler; his sister-in-law Sherry Spangler; his great-niece Sophia Mathis; and his great-nephew Braxton Bowdle.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Mettler; his children, Nate Spangler (Tiffany) of South Salem and Holly Anderson (Mike) of Bainbridge; his siblings, Glenn Spangler Jr. of Chillicothe, Cherri Hutchinson (Mike) of Hillsboro and Jeff Spangler (Beth) of Frankfort; his father-in-law Jim Mettler Sr. of Bainbridge; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Mettler (Sandy) of Bainbridge, Bob Mettler (Vicky) of Bainbridge and Peggy Cleland (Tim) of Bainbridge. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
