He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Acree and Essie McQuinn (Pruitt); his stepfather Ford McQuinn; his stepdaughter Amy Schalk; his daughter-in-law Cindy Acree; his grandsons, Ben Bish and Wyatt Schalk; and his siblings, Richard Acree and Jane Banks.
He is survived by: his spouse Fay (Stiverson); his children, Dan Acree of Tiffin, Angie Cliff (Neil) of Tiffin, Tom Acree (Jody) of Delaware, OH and Scott Acree (Elaine) of New Riegel; his stepchildren, Connie Bish (Dave) of Tiffin, Mike Lucius (Beverly), Laurie Clouse (Dave) of New Riegel, Shelly Steinmetz (Bernie) of Tiffin, Wendy Siesel (Dave) of Republic, Kevin Schalk (Ruth) of Bellevue, Shelly McCormak of Fostoria, Bryan Schalk (Dawnitta) of Tiffin and Cindy Foster (Gary) of Fostoria; and his sisters, Phyllis Quercia (Ado) and June McKee. He is also survived by thirty-five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
