With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Elizabeth Hickey (Bay Village, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 25, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William F. Hickey; her daughter Anne "Nina" Curran (John); her parents, Manning Smith and Minnie Smith; and her siblings, Nancy, Billy and Tommy.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth "Lise" Gardner (Fran), Catherine "Trina" Phillips (Jim), Deirdre "Dede" Geib (Dan), Moira Clark (late Rich), Eorann Conway (Dan), Meghan McNamara (Mark), Christopher "Chip" Hickey (Beth) and David Hickey (Tiffany).
The family suggests memorial contributions to The St. Raphael Scholarship Fund or The William & Joan Hickey Campus Ministry Fund at Magnificat High School.
