She was predeceased by: her parents, Ward J. Wert and Helen V. Wert (Crom); her husband John Andrew Howe; her children, Andrea Bogart, John Michael "Mike" Howe and David Alan Howe; and her grandchild Ashley Howe.
She is survived by: her sons, Jerry Howe (Cynthia) and Garry Howe; her grandchildren, Jenny Donges (Kent), Nathan Bogart (Brandi), Melissa Campbell (Ryan), Mikayla Taylor (Josh), Marissa Howe and Tessa Howe (Alan Thielen); her son-in-law Tom Bogart (Anita); and her sisters, Wilma Jean Best and Donna Smith (John). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
