He was predeceased by: his parents, Rodney Dale and Ruth Juanita Thurman (Tincher); his wife Ginny; his son Doug Thurman; his siblings, Jane Moore (William "Tex"), Rodney Thurman, Robert Thurman, Donald Thurman and Clarence Thurman; and his brother-in-law Earl Puckett.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherrie Aubrey (Rob); his grandchildren, Natalie Blythe (Jim), Alise "Lesi" Diaz-Mendoza (Cristian), Charlie Thurman and Darrell Thurman; his great grandchildren, James and William Blythe; his sister Ruth Ann Puckett; and his sister-in-law Tootie Thurman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Vernon Funeral Home (235 Miami St, Urbana, OH 43078). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
