He was predeceased by: his wife Alvena B. Davenport; his former wife Mary Sandra Wright; his parents, Archie Davenport and Jessie Davenport; and his siblings, Wilbur Eugene Davenport, Evelyn Jewel Davenport, Nola Faye Davenport Rostine and Margauritte Davenport Bellew.
He is survived by: his brother Andy Davenport of Peebles; his children, Phyllis Kirk of Flat Gap, Peggy Clark (Terrell) of Maysville, Gena Davenport of Bentonville and David Davenport of Portsmouth; his grandchildren, Alex Davenport, Andrea Kirk, Cassandra Catlow, Christopher Lungren, Katrina Lungren, Tristan Davenport, Zachary Davenport and Rachel Davenport; and his great grandchildren, Zoe Catlow, Nathaniel Russell, Matthew Cooper, Jr. and Doug.
