He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Brumm Swanger and Richard G. Swanger Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Janet E. Musgrove Swanger of Massillon Ohio; his siblings, Judy Palmer of Bellville Ohio and William Swanger; and his sister-in-law Cheryl Musgrove (Dena) of Massillon Ohio. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews.
