He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Koenig and Jennie Koenig (Finkenbine); and his siblings, Marion Koenig, Dorothy Killian, Emerson "Pat" Koenig and Elmer "Bill" Koenig.
He is survived by: his wife Nelda J. Payton; his children, John "Pete" Biggs (Cheryl) of Sidney, OH, Tina Rogers (Tony), Beth Lovejoy (Mark) and Fran Miller (Chad); his granddaughter Jennifer Chronaberry (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Kyra Vaughn and Kaynen Chronaberry; his grandson Adam Biggs (Blaine); his great grandchildren, Jackson and Tatum Biggs; his granddaughter Bethany Nartker (Dan); his great grandchild Quinten; his grandson Brandon Rogers (Kara); his great grandchildren, Kinley and Kori; his granddaughter Chelsea Kahlig (Brady); his great grandchildren, Remy and Margot; his grandchildren, Reese Rogers, Ainsley Lovejoy, Joshua Lovejoy, Andrianne Miller, Gavin Miller and Shelbie Miller; and his sisters-in-law, Marty Koenig and Carol Koenig.
