With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herbert Slaven Jr. of Botkins, Ohio, born in Celina, Ohio, who passed away on April 29, 2021 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Deb Williams, Larry Hicks, Luther Slaven, Charlie Slaven, Sue Rose and Jack Hicks; and his grandson Joshua Davenport.
He is survived by: his son Areda Slaven, Sr. (Hall); his wife Barbara Drexler; his children, Danny Cooper of Saint Marys, Kimberly Davenport of Saint Marys, Scott Slaven of Saint Marys, Missy Headley of Saint Marys, Crystal Spencer of Saint Marys and Brooke Slaven Lovett of South Carolina; and his siblings, Mary Tremmell of Omaha, Nebraska, Vina Woods of Celina, Stacey Spurlock of Wapakoneta, Vickie Burkhart of Saint Marys and James Slaven of Rockford. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; by 14 great-grandchildren.
All visitors to the funeral home are required to wear a mask, in accordance with the mandate of the Ohio Department of Health.
