She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Fiebiger and Erma Fiebiger (Ballweg); her husband Ray Schmerge; her children, Paul Schmerge (Karen), Peggy Schnippel (Kurt), Linda Poeppelman (Scott) and Dale Schmerge (Amber); her grandchildren, Katie, Luke Schmerge, Kayla, Lucy Schnippel, Robert "R. J.", Evan Poeppelman, Hank, Rudy, Toby and Annie Schmerge; her siblings, Don Fiebiger (Carolyn) and Donna Castle (Kenny); her mother-in-law Catherine Schmerge; her siblings-in-law, Carol Schlueter (Tom), John Schmerge (Joyce Subler), Joe Schmerge (Krissie), Leonard Schmerge (Kecia), Leo Schmerge (Julie) and Gary Schmerge (Darcy); her brother David Fiebiger; and her father-in-law George Schmerge. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Botkins Fire Department or Immaculate Conception Church.
