With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alex F. Messer Jr. of Bucyrus, Ohio, who passed away on February 27, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex F. Messer Sr. and Carrie Rosetta Woodrum (Walls); and his sisters, Margaret Minner, Connie Gibson, Mary Stanley, Dora Ferris and Opal Messer.

He is survived by: his nephew Jeff Ferris; his children, Alex F. Messer III, Tony Messer (Jackie), Rodney Hunt (Stacey), Tammy Treese, Carlos Hunt and Charma Schifer; his grandchildren, Chelsey, Austin, Seth, Chase, Paige, Mason, Rustie, Brittany, Jacob, Bryan, Faith, Kiyran, Mauricio, Tateeona, James Dustin, Stanley and Kayla; and his half-brother Arlie Woodrum. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
