He was predeceased by: his parents, Mickel Dyer and Dorothy Mae Dyer (Cooley); and his siblings, Hubert Dyer, Katherine Liles, Betty Entler and Ramona Zornes.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Dyer (Beller); his children, James Dyer (April), Tracy Buckner (Rick) and Stephanie Richmond (William); and his brother Ronald Dyer. He is also survived by 6 grand children, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
