He is survived by: his son Michael Shives (Jean) of Boardman; his grandchild Michelle Shives; his daughters, Sharon Shives of Youngstown and Jennifer Cromwell (Eric) of Poland; and his grandchildren, Eric Cromwell Jr., Emily Cromwell and Jamie Shives.
