He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Smith and Margie Smith (Stebelton); his wife Mary Jane Smith (Custer); and his siblings, John, Roy, Ira, Loyd, Ruth Thomas, Alice Frank, Ann Thomas and Viola Vickroy.
He is survived by: his children, Bart Smith (Pat) and Sandra Sorensen; his grandchildren, Kyle Sorensen (Rachel) and Rachel Sorensen; his great grandchild Olivia Sorensen; and his brothers, Charlie Smith (Donna) and Kenny Smith (Jenny). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
