He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred McDonald and Martha McDonald; his daughter Jamie; and his siblings, Dorothy, Genevieve, Janet, Robert and Raymond.

He is survived by : his nephews, Jeff (Lesley) and Steve McDonald (Angie); his great-nephew Matthew; his great-niece Sarah; his pet Smackie; and also, Ralph, Susan Angiuli, Nicholas and Domenic of Canfield.

Because of the current health threat related to COVID-19, Jim's family and funeral home staff will be holding a private burial service.

The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Angels for Animals in Mr. McDonald's memory.
