He was predeceased by : his mother-in-law Pat Ford; and his brother Shane Bowers. He is survived by : his parents, Ray W. Bowers and Pamela Bowers (Bookwalter); his wife Pamela D. Ford; his children, Ward Michael Bowers, Paige Ann Bowers and Madelynn Dawn Bowers; his brothers, Eric Bowers (Angie) of Defiance and Jarrod Bowers of Findlay; his father-in-law Craig Ford of West Independence; his sister-in-law Alecia Ford of West Independence; and his nieces and nephews, Kiwii, Larkin, Dempsey, Maguire Bowers, Michaela Holt, Sophia Holt, Stefan, Jordan, Gavin Bowers, Chase Carpenter and Myah Dominique.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the West Independence Church (22876 US-224, Fostoria, OH 44830).

Contributions in Rodney's memory may be shared with the Carey High School Athletic Department, 2016 Blue Devil Drive, Carey, OH 43316.
