He was predeceased by : his parents, James Kaltenbach and Evelyn Kaltenbach (Carnes); and his siblings, Tom, Michael Kaltenbach and Patricia Mavis Smith.

He is survived by : his wife Margie Toot Kaltenbach; his daughters, Kelley Busch (Jim) of Chillicothe and Nikki Hollis (Victor) of Key West, Florida; his stepchildren, Mindy Jones Weiland (Todd "Chip") of Dellroy and Aaron Jones (Carisa) of Dellroy; his grandchildren, Jeff Ritchie (Ashley), Alex Grow, Megan Grow, Kirsten Markey and Jack Busch; his sisters-in-law, Janet Kaltenbach (Tom), Barb Toot (Jayme Walker) and Shirley Kamban (Marty); his former life partner Judy Lewis; and also, Brice, Regan and Coby Weiland. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's of Morges Catholic Church (8012 Bachelor Rd NW, Waynesburg, OH 44688).
