He is survived by: his wife Tammie Wood of Carrollton; his daughters, Linda Pastore (Matt) of Savannah, GA, Laurie Steel (Gary) of North Canton and Loni Porter (Michael II) of Minerva; his grandchildren, Victoria, Camille Leggett, John Allen, Kiera Steel, Michael Edward III and Bruce Wayne Porter; his siblings, Ray Wood (Bonnie) of Radcliff, KY and Sharon Main of Louisville; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Rhodes (Sam) of Radcliff, KY. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
