He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J. Powell and Clara Brunner Powell; his wife Jo Ann Swisher Powell; his children, Michelle Powell, Jolee Getz and Michael Powell; and his brother Bob Powell (Ruby).
He is survived by: his daughters, Jerri Stimmel and Clarissa Ray (Scott). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
