He was predeceased by: his children, Terry, Ronald and Beth Smith (Perdue); and his sisters, Judy McCue and Linda Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Helen. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
