He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Runyon and Peggy Runyon; his wife Sandra Runyon; and his brothers, Michael Runyon, Danny Chapman and Larry Chapman.
He is survived by: his children, Misty Sowards (Terry) of Ona, WV and Stephen Runyon of Chesapeake; his grandchildren, Kayla, Brandon, Morgan, Chrissa and Quentin; his great grandchild Aubrey; and his siblings, Tommy Runyon of Chesapeake, Rick Runyon of Huntington, WV and Norma Frazier of Huntington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
