He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Gearhart and Viola Dyer Gearhart; his wife Gladys E. Reno; and his brother Rev. Roy Gearhart. He is survived by: his sons, David Gearhart (Michele) of Chillicothe and Bruce Gearhart of Chillicothe; and his grandchildren, David Gearhart, Jr., Daniel Gearhart (Chrissy) of Cincinnati, Joshua Gearhart of Circleville, Heather Everts (Brian) of Lockbourne, Michelle Shoemaker and Samantha Lawson (Damian) of Warsaw. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
