Though Kris E. Gaus may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Kris E. Gaus touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Gaus and Carolyn Cole Gaus; and his stepparents, Watson Wickline and Icey Gaus. He is survived by: his children, Carl Gillespie of Nashville, TN and Rachael Heefner of Mechanicsville, MD; his grandson Ayden Gillespie of Keesler, AFB; his siblings, David Edgington of Chillicothe and Kim Gaus of Chillicothe; and his nieces and nephews, Derek Potter, Kristen Goode and Devon Morales.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ware Funeral Home (121 W 2nd St, Chillicothe, OH 45601). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
