She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearl Emerson Spencer and Gertrude Elizabeth Hawk Sherwood; her husband William Surber; and her siblings, Brent Spencer and Rita Spencer Tinkham.
She is survived by: her siblings, Pam Ramirez (Daniel), Sharon Kaldor, Lynn Bolin (Barry), Keith Kelley (Audra) and Brian Kelley (Kiesha); her siblings' children, Mike Tinkham, Scott Tinkham, John Dunfee, Daniel Ramirez, JB Walker, Cindy Tinkham and Amelia Ramirez; and her cousin Keith Thomas (Rita).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hughes Funeral Home (168 Morris Ave, Athens, OH 45701). The military honors will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the same location.
