He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Murch and Merle "Peggy" Maplethorpe Murch; and his sister Carol Diane Fountain (Murch). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Diffendal; his son John Murch (Tina Parsley); his grandsons, Jonathan of Chillicothe and Jacob Murch of Chillicothe; his siblings, Kenny Murch and Sandra Bobblett (Murch); and also, Michael and Brandon Parsley.
