He was predeceased by: his sibling Sotiri (Demetra); and his sibling-in-law Angelo Stambolos. He is survived by: his spouse Vera; his children, Stacy Manolakas (Stuart MacAskill), Angela Manolakas and Michael Manolakas (Colleen); his sibling George Manolakas (Dinomachi); his sibling-in-law Irene Stambolos; his grandchildren, Alexandra, Alexis, Christina, Courtney and Sean; and his sibling's children, Michael, Stamatia, Marianthy, Peter, Tia and Sharon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Trinity-St Nicholas Greek Church or MD Anderson Cancer Center for bladder cancer research.
