She was predeceased by: her parents, Ozni Schauer and Alice Schauer; and her sisters, Claire Bruemmer and Lucille Schauer. She is survived by: her children, Lucille Gerdes (Thomas), Barbara Kuertz, Mary Lee Rechtin (David) and Jeanne Howe; and her grandchildren, Lisa Jennings, Deborah Gerdes, Kevin Kuertz, Stephen Kuertz, Jacqueline Coyne, Jeffrey Rechtin, James, Karen, Peter and Diane Howe.
