He was predeceased by: his spouse Marian Briggs; his children, Carolyn Sorvoja (Mark) and Laura Briggs; and his grandchild Rosie. He is survived by: his children, Robert Briggs, Christopher Briggs (Lauren), Barbara Garibay and Daniel Briggs (Virginia); his grandchildren, Emma, Audrey, Maegan, Sara, Sterling, Collin, Brice, Miles, Samuel and Annaliese; his great grandchildren, Landen, Nora, Jaidyn, Zane, Zev and Killian; and his sibling Joan Duran.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Right To Life or Our Lady of Perpetual Help or CAP (Christian Appalachian Project).
