She was loved and cherished by many people including : her spouse Roger M Higley; her children, Carolyn Watt (Stephen), Laura Tuzun (Tayfun) and Missy Minghetti (Luigi); her grandchildren, Allison, Austin, Elizabeth Watt, Serra, Ela Tuzun, Gio and Giulia Minghetti; and her siblings, Walter Oakes, Martha Hord, Barbara VanZant, Rosalie Skeens, Fred Oakes and Buddy Oakes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's Association, Hospice of Cincinnati or to Westwood United Methodist Church Organ Fund.
