He was predeceased by: his brother Pete Jonson; and his parents, George Jonson and Catherine Jonson. He is survived by: his daughter Cathy; his wife Thelma; his children, Catherine Beale, George (Kelly) and Steve (Julie); his granddaughters, Victoria Beale and Alison Beale; his brother Alex Jonson (Ann); and his sister-in-law Betty Jonson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Greek Orthodox Church or to Ohio Alley Cat Resource, 5619 Orlando Place, Cincinnati, OH 45227.
