He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Mary Appelmann; his children, Joe Appelmann (Karen), Marian Powell (Lee), Nancy Sodd (Joe), Linda Kirschner (Barry) and Bill Appelmann (Amy Arlinghaus); his grandchildren, Elyse, Joey, Stacey, Andrew, Alex, Lexi, Kaitlin, Dana, Carly, Matthew, Haley and Ethan; his great grandchild Isadora; his siblings, Ruth Haffner, Don Appelmann, George Appelmann, LaVerne Mertz and Marion Appelmann; and his sibling-in-law Paul Twilling. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
