He is survived by: his spouse Margaret Rengering (Breitenbach); and his children, Clare Fox (Bill), Ellen Maresca (Ward), Ann James (late David), David (Annie), Stacy Shumate (Jim), Paul (Barb), Alan (Becky) and Joani Means (Steve).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 644 Linn St, Suite 1026, Cincinnati, OH 45203 or a charity of choice.
