He was predeceased by: his parents, George Diersing and Mildred Diersing; his brother George; and his siblings-in-law, Dwayne and Donna.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Sauer; his children, Terri, Mike, Becky and Ron; and his grandchildren, Alison, Abigail, Madison, Katlin, Gavin, Nathan and Rosemary. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
