He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Elizabeth Lager; his children, David Lager (Brenda), Lisa Niehaus (Greg), Maria Dawes (Jim), Carol Schauer (Randy), Angela Rabe (Brian), Christel Lager and Joseph Michael Lager; his siblings, Heinrich Lager (late Agnes) and Wilhelmine Fischer (Hermann); and also, Anna Mösker (late Alfons), Wilhelm Bley (Anneliese), Elisabeth Einspanier (late Heinrich), Josef Bley (Carola) and Franz Bley (Adelheid).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Ignatius Church.
