He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Drier Thinnes and Nelson "Bud" Thinnes; and his brother Michael Thinnes. He is survived by: his wife Ann Harvey Thinnes; his children, Alex Thinnes (Mindi), Lynn Thinnes and Emily Mutchnick (Joshua); his grandchildren, Hugh and Alana Thinnes; and his siblings, Vicki Gregory (Ed) and David Thinnes (Sue).
