He is survived by: his wife Susan Cady Hayward; his daughter Heidi Urish (Steven Urish); his granddaughters, Emily of Raleigh, Annie of Raleigh and Caroline of Raleigh; his son Nathaniel (Katherine Krebs); his grandsons, Samuel and Joseph of South Hero, Vermont; his son Zachary (Christina Steinbrecher); his grandchildren, Kaelyn and Gregory of Middlesex; his half-brothers, Richard of Jonesborough, Philip of Alexandria, Jonathan of Elizabethton, Tennessee and Alex of Richmond, Virginia.; and also, Yvette and Clara.
