With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Edwrad Hannah in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on July 22, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Hannah and Edward Hannah; his daughter Paulette Shelton; his stepson Vincent Brown; his siblings, Blanford Hannah, Paul Hannah, Dawn Alice Williams, Ramona Harvey, Faye Robinson and Angela Hannah; and the mother of his children Gaynell Hannah.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hannah; his daughters, Charlene Barnes (Damon) and Rita Hannah; his sisters, Betty Payton-Taylor, Gwendolyn Lewis, Gaynell Taylor and Valerie Marshall; his siblings-in-law, Dr. Phil Mack (Evella), Tony Neal and Dr. Joyce Neal; his grandchildren, Michael Hoston (Rhonda), Angelia Shelton (Dale), Damita Graham (Amon), Damon Barnes III (Natalie), Tiffany Hannah, Charles Barnes, Sr. (Shaniya), Christopher Hannah (Tiara) and Chaz Barnes; his great grandchildren, Michael "Tony" Hoston (Avionna), Asia, Emmauel (Nelly), Brianna (Nate), Nandi, Charvon, Vincent (Tyllissa), Symone, Tyron, Tyrell, Tiarra, Kourntey, Kae'la, DaQwan, Jayla, Julian, Journee (Arianna), Charles Jr., Isaiah and Kaleb; and his great great grandchildren, Christian, My'lani of Ava, AJ, Naomi, Vinee', Viniyah, Tyvon, Dominic and Annalise.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calhoun Funeral Home (23000 Rockside Rd, Bedford Heights, OH 44146). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 9:30 AM and at 10:00 AM at the same location.
