He was predeceased by: his parents, Leah Peterson and James Smith; and his siblings, Richard Schumann and Constance Schumann. He is survived by: his siblings, Mark Schumann, Ann, David Kortje (Sandra) and Dawn Holler.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Slone & Co. (13115 Lorain Ave, Cleveland, OH 44111). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM and at 12:15 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Cleveland Animal Protective League.
