William Shapard III Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Shapard III of Cleveland, Ohio, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 4, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Allen Shapard, Jr. and Harriett Bolton Smithson; his wife Jane Cannon Watt; his sons, William Allen Shapard IV (Carsten Wentworth Sierck) of Bronxville and Austin Victor Shapard (Abigail Sycle Lash) of New York City; his grandchildren, Henry, Serena, Hattie and Lucy Shapard; and his brother John Bolton Shapard.
In lieu of flowers and in recognition of the exceptional care Bill received from the Judson staff, contributions can be made on Bill's behalf to the Judson Foundation, 2181 Ambleside Dr., Cleveland, OH 44106.
