He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Gilder and Ella Van Gilder (Nee' Smith); and his siblings, Harold, Donald and Gene Van Gilder.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Vivian Van Gilder, Kevin Van Gilder (Jeanette) and Pamela Ambrosetti (Guy); his grandchildren, Shaun, Bryce (Lynnette), Timothy, Angela (John), Eric, Kevin Jr. (Cara), Cory and Heather; his great grandchildren, Hannah, Hailey, Tyler, Makayla and Riley; and his siblings, Margel (Rosalie), Larry, Roger (Patricia) and Avenelle Sturgill.
