With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lavern J. Wolters of Coldwater, Ohio, who passed away on February 15, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Wolters and Mathilda Wolters (Will); his grandchildren, Zoe Lane and Nathan Broering; and his parents-in-law, Mildred, Jerome Selhorst, Lucille, Rudy, Mary Link, Dolores, Ludwig Wuebker, Albert, Victoria Schoenlein, Bernard, Ruth Schoenlein, Herman Schoenlein, Roman, Rita Schoenlein, Vernon Rutschilling, Esther and Walter Rethman.
He is survived by: his spouse Alfrieda A. (Schoenlein); his children, Joyce DeStefano of Ft. Wayne, IN, Diane (Joe Siegrist), Shirley (Kevin Fullenkamp), Steve (Deb Wolters), Jane Jones of St. Henry, Donna (Larry Lane), Brenda (Ken Homan) and Lynn (Ron Broering); and his grandchildren, Sam DeStefano, Gail (Joe Dues), Jill (Jeremy Geisendorff), Eric (Jani Siegrist), Beth (Will Handt), Kyle (Jill Siegrist), Alex (Peyton Fullenkamp), Gwen Fullenkamp, Claire Fullenkamp, Dan (Kendra Wolters), Jenni (Brian Erhart), Gary (Melissa Wolters), Adam (Whitney Wolters), Ryan Jones, Austin (Kendra Jones), Hannah Lane, Tess Lane, Justin Homan, Sarah (Mark Post), Abigail Homan, Zachary Homan, Victoria Homan, Grace Homan, Pam (Rick Thimmes), Rachel Broering, Cody Broering, Cory Broering, Jesse Broering and Jacob Broering. He is also survived by 8 children, 31 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p. m. on Friday and 9 to 10 a. m. Saturday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater where CDC guidelines of mask wearing, and social distancing will be followed.
