He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Lee and Myra Margaret Newcom (Tekamp); his former wife Linda Marie (Nance); and his grandchildren, Blake Wilges and Laura Eischen.

He is survived by: his daughter Brandy Lee Newcom (Jesse Williams) of Coldwater; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Taya, Whitney Godwin, Miranda Williams and Jace Eischen; his siblings, Cheryl Hafner (Ron) of Atlanta, MI, Doug Newcom (Nancy) of Southport, NC and Dwayne Newcom (Tamera) of Lexington, SC; his nephew Ryan Luken (Melinda) of Cygnet; and his niece Mindy Stoeckel (Todd) of Raleigh, NC..
