He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Gamble and Lillie Mae Gamble (Wright); his close friend Yvonne Gamble; and his siblings, Lonza, Simon, Ossie, Kennel, Tommy, Mattie Jane, Viola, Betty and Marvie.
He is survived by: his daughter Sonja Russell (Alex); and his brother Jack Gamble. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
