He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Epstein and Esther Epstein; and his sister Susan Epstein Blumenfield. He is survived by: his wife Paulayne Epstein; his daughters, Melissa Epstein (Adam Jackson) and Dana Stein (Michael); his siblings, Lewis Epstein and Renee Goldman (Barry); and his grandchildren, Samson, Astrid Stein and Gabriel Joseph Jackson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Congregation Tifereth Israel in his memory.
