Though Barbara Jean may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Barbara Jean touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her children, Ian C. and Amanda L.; her husband Carl Powell; her sisters, Karen Kraft (Richard Riling), Nancy Johnson (Cash) and Betty Donahue (Keith); and her sister-in-law Judy Thacker (Dewey).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either Glenwood UMC or the OSU Chadwick Arboretum to honor Barbara's legacy of service and care.
