She is survived by: her stepchildren, Mark Fowlkes and Stephanie Fowlkes; her grandchildren, Yolanda Jackson (Jason), Lee West, Alisha Womack III (James), Justin West (Kelly), Essence West, Eric West Jr. and Rustin West; her stepgrandchildren, Gabrielle Fowlkes, Amarra Fowlkes and Sydnee Fowlkes; her great grandchildren, Jayda West, Kiev West, Jordan Turner, Cleveland Brown Jr., Kennedy West, Ajaylon West, Jayla Jackson, Ava West, Juliana Jackson, James Womack IV and Zoey Womack; and her siblings, Ernestine Menefield, Karen Carter, John Carter (Shirley), Robert Carter (Treva), David Carter (Gerry), Raymond Carter (Winnie) and Paul Carter (Flora). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
